Recreational Gymnastics Instructors (Part time)

To teach gymnastics at the YMCA with emphasis on the safety and fundamentals of the sport.
KNOW-HOW
o Be at least 16 years of age.
o Prior gymnastics experience (as an instructor or a participant).
o Must have the ability to teach ages 5 to 11.
o Must be comfortable to supervise a group of youth.
o Should have the ability to create and use lesson plans.
o Recognize any safety concerns in regards to the use of the equipment.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
o Be willing to take safety certification and other courses designated by Director.
o To be a role model for the gymnastics participants while demonstrating the YMCA Four Core Values
of Honesty, Responsibility, Respect, and Caring.
o Be knowledgeable of the 40 Developmental Assets set forth by the Search Institute. For more

o Develop daily lesson plans for each class. Note: Plans must be approved by Director.
o Teach classes as scheduled by the Director.
o Inventory equipment daily for any safety concerns.
o Supervise class participants during class.
o Plan and assist with any parent days or special events as scheduled by the Director.
o Report any accidents or incidents to Director as they occur.
o Attend staff meetings.
o Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor.
o Job Description may be changed at any time by supervisor.
EFFECT ON END RESULT
o All participants will enjoy the sport of gymnastic.
o All participants will get exposure to the YMCA Four Core Values.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
